EBLIDA Elections: Candidates for the position of EBLIDA President and Executive Committee: 2024-2027
EBLIDA Secretariat has invited members of the Association to nominate their representatives for election of a new President and the EBLIDA Executive Committee. Nominations are now closed.
By close of business on Monday 22nd January 2024, the EBLIDA Secretariat had received 2 nominations for EBLIDA President and 11 nominations for the 10 available seats on the EBLIDA Executive Committee.
Voting will take place to elect a President and to elect 10 Executive Committee members from the pool of 11 nominated candidates online between 12 February - 11 March.
The results of the elections will be announced during the Council Meeting on 8 April.
Online voting opens on 12 February and will close on 11 March 2024. The URL for the voting platform will be sent to all EBLIDA members.
According to the EBLIDA Constitution (Chapter VIII, Article 29), the members of the Executive Committee shall be elected by the Council for a period of three years, serving a maximum of two terms. As cited in Article 31 of the Constitution, the members of the Executive Committee, with the exception of its Chairperson, are representatives from Full Members of the Association.
Nomination for the position of EBLIDA President 2023-2027
Each Full member of EBLIDA is entitled to nominate one representative for President. The candidate does not need to belong to an EBLIDA Member organisation, but the nomination must be supported by at least 3 EBLIDA members. The Vice President and Treasurer will be appointed by the new Executive Committee during their meeting on 8th April in Lisbon.

Nominations for the position of Executive Committee Member 2024-2027
Each Full Member association is entitled to nominate one representative to the Executive Committee, which consists of up to a maximum of 10 members each from different full member organisations. Candidates must belong to a full member association and their nomination does not need to be seconded. Individuals can serve a maximum of two terms on the Executive Committee. According to the EBLIDA Constitution, the Executive Committee should reflect a geographic and professional balance.
